Here is the Santa picture Steve mentioned. Isn't he scrumptious? Yeah, I guess Maddox is cute, too. This was taken on Maddox's four month birthday. I love the little Lord Fauntleroy outfit Grammy Susan got him. We were terrified when we were standing in line to see Santa, all the kids were either screaming bloody murder or playing stupid ("Smile for the rattle? What rattle? I would rather look at my feet"). So, Steve and I decided to bargain with Maddox, "If you are nice to Santa and smile for the camera, you can be as cranky as you want for the rest of the day". Once Maddox got on Santa's lap it was showtime, if he could wink and blow kisses he would have. He could hardly contain himself, he petted and cooed at Santa, he flirted with the elves, he giggled for the camera. It was so bizarre. Steve and I were like: "Whose kid is this? Why is he so friendly and happy? He is nothing like us...oh crap, he is trying to suck on Santa's nose...Hey, kid! I know we made a deal, just smile, don't go overboard!" Santa finally wrangled him into his lap, Maddox gazed at all his adoring fans (Steve and me and some old lady), then looked directly at the camera and belly laughed, thus creating the picture above. Of course, Maddox knows the value of a good bargain, he was a holy terror for the rest of the day.
P.S. We moved into our new house in December...here is a picture of some of our decorations in our new house (as our first Christmas as a family together).
Oh, wow what a pleasant surprise. Two new posts! Could I be dreaming!? :)
I absolutely love that photo - belly laughed, aww, what a delightful babe you got. I miss you guys!

There is something about Maddox that reminds me of Mia as a baby. That entertaining charm that can,on a dime, turn into a major hysteria-fest.Really you guys he is one of the worlds cutest babies. Good work! Susi

That is so cute. Santa is probably happy that not every kid hated him that day. My kids freaked out mostly. The only way they would stay if we got santa to pretent he was reading them a book. It worked. Two things, cute cute baby and wow on the house. You did a great job on the decor!
